You may recall the blurb about 14 stitches. Well, here you go......On Saturday, August, 8, 2009, Davis extended family had a big reunion at a church in Alpine. The kids were playing and having a great time. Ady was playing with her cousin that is just 2 days younger than her. They were running around and have a great time. Davis called the kids in for cake and Ady, followed by her cousin, came running down the hall. As I hear it, she ran past the alcove and quickly spun around, running face first into her cousin. He flew one way, she the other....he luckily went into the hall, she went face first into the corner of the wall. I was in the "cake" room and heard her crying. I actually thought to myself, "She is so dramatic." I got the cake and sat down to feed Bennett. A little while later Davis dad comes and grabs Bennett and says, "Davis needs you in the bathroom." I saunter over to the bathroom and as I open the door all I can see is blood. LOVELY!!! Davis is standing by the sink with his cousin Tim (a nurse) as Tim utters the lovely words, "Uh, yup, this will DEFINITELY need stitches." I look over to see the HUGE gash across my princess' face. RATS, why couldn't it have been a boy. Oh well, we get her bandaged up, farm the Tanner and Matt off on the Grandparents and head to Primary Children's in hopes of not having a huge scar. 4 long hours and 14 stitches later, we headed home. Davis was awesome to take pictures with his phone. And I just snapped a shot of her with the bandaids she needed to wear for the next week or so.

Yes, she has a scar. They say it'll take a year to find out how bad it'll be. These pictures aren't for the faint of heart so be forwarned..........

All doped up. This girl was hilarious, she had the doctor and nurses cracking up the whole time.

Holly, here's a tip for helping her scar heal as nicely as possible: Use vitamin E oil on it. If you can't find a bottle of it, you can also use vitamin E capsules that you open up and squeeze on the scar. She's still just as adorable as always!!! :)
Oh poor girl! My sister has a scar in that same spot,it has been a bout a year since she got it and it is starting to fade now. Hopefully Ady's will as well.
