PUNK!!!

PUNK!!!!!!! I was resting waiting for dinner to finish cooking and this is what I came to find. BUTTER!!!! I love the eyes closed thing. He does this now, because he thinks he is hiding. Sorry Bud, hate to break it to you...not working.

Such joy, so much fun. Mom got to clean up...YAY!!!!

Sunday was a crazy storm and after church the kids decided to jump on the tramp in the rain...then hail. They came in saying it felt like someone was throwing rocks at them.

Drenched Rats!!!!! Now go get washed up for dinner.

Blackberries, Raspberries and Cousins

Yesterday, we made the long drive down to Mapleton. I little while ago I found a website called "Pick your own" http://www.pickyourown.org/UT.htm It gives you all the sites in your state that you can go pick your own fruit/vegetables. We used it to find an awesome strawberry place up in Layton so we could have a good excuse to go see Mindy. Then we used it again to go down south to get raspberries and blackberries. This time Mindy made the trek down from Layton and her hubby Mike joined us. We figured since we were down that way we would invite Mike's sister Becky (Becky and Mike are Davis cousins) to come with us and then invite ourselves to her house for dinner and games. It was wonderful. Needless to say my camera was in the car, so when I took the kids back to get a drink I grabbed it. This farm was awesome. The owners were super friendly and chatty. My kids had to use the potty the second we got there (no surprise there.) This nice lady let us go in her house and use her potty. We then headed out to "pick" and the kids ate more than what ended up in the baskets, but the owners said "That's what we like to see kids do." There were goats, geese, deer and other stuff the kids were fascinated with. It was super hot so when we were done, we were DONE. Becky got there late and only had a few raspberries, they didn't even bother weighing them, they just told her to take them home. I had over two pounds but they rounded it down to two, so I got lots of yummy raspberries and a few blackberries (they weren't quite ripe yet) for only $6, it was awesome.

This is the only picture from the patch. Ady and Matt LOVE cousin Katelyn.

Back at the house we made raspberry icecream, barbecue chicken, corn on the cob, watermelon and chips, such a great dinner. It was delish. Davis finally made it for dinner. Ady spent a lot of her time loving on chunky baby Carter. I think she could've spent more time like this, but Mom was super nervous. She watched him in is bouncy chair and every time he fussed she announced to the world that Carter wasn't happy.

Matt had to hold the baby too...let's just say I barely got the camera put down before I had to catch Carter from hitting the floor. Matt had his picture taken and he was DONE. Carter wasn't too happy going from Ady to Matt anyway, so he went back to Ady after this. I love the terrified look on Carter's face. LOL

Patiently waiting for dinner.

The girl cousins: Ady, Katelyn and Alyssa. These girls got along GREAT!!!

Matt watering the yard. He had a lot of fun too with the girls. They all were wonderful together. As you can see no pictures of Tanner. It's hard to be the oldest, not sure where he was at most of the time. And Bennett, well, my wonderful Mom offered to keep Bennett and it was fabulous. There was so much commotion and so many kids under the age of 5, it was nice not to have to worry about Benno too. After dinner the kids watched a movie and the adults played a game. It was pretty late, so Davis left with the kids part way into the game and I stayed until it was over. It was awesome we definitely have to do it again. We are all ready discussing BYU football and picking apples for applesauce in the fall. Can't wait!!!!!!

Corny Bennett

Ahhhh, Bennett and our food fight. Bennett is the worst eater out of all our kids. He won't eat meat (hotdogs don't count.) He won't eat vegetables, I can't remember him having problems with baby food, but the only vegetable (if it's even a vegetable) he has eaten is yam/sweet potatoes. We put everything on his plate, he just won't eat it, he'll spit it out, or crush it up. He will eat rice (no potatoes) and most fruits. He also loves pizza, cheese, and yogurt (though he's intolerant so I have to be careful giving it to him) and olives. Thankfully he likes kidney beans too. But that's about it. So the begining of the summer we gave him a piece of corn on the cob. He took a bite and threw it at me. He then proceeded to scream and point at my Mom's plate. After a little while we let him have her plate and he took her "eaten" cob and chewed on it for at least 30 minutes (weirdo!) The next time we had corn my Mom decided she would cut her corn off and give him the cob...no go, he screamed until we gave him a cob with corn on it. He then proceeded to take a bite, spit the kernels out and proceed in that manner until it was all gone....(WEIRDO!!!) Not sure when it changed, but the last few times we've had corn on the cob, he's actually eaten the corn off the cob. Tonight he had 2 half pieces of corn and then finished off Matt's. He still won't eat corn kernels that I put on his plate, uncobbed, is that really a word?!?!? Or any other vegetable for that matter. Oh well, I guess we will just keep putting it on his plate and hope he finally eats/likes it. We'll take it one vegi at a time.

And just because Tanner wanted his picture taken too. These two are total stinkers sometimes. But they sure have a brotherly love.

Kindergarten 2010

My Adylin starts kindergarten today. She woke me at 7 am saying, "Is it time for school?" Oish! I told her to go watch tv for a little while. When I finally was awake I explained to her she goes to school AFTER lunch. She's been bouncing off the walls all morning. I finally got her ready, filled out her "getting to know you" page and part of it included adding a current picture. So I took her outside for a first day of kindergarten photo shoot. She was so happy to meet with her teacher yesterday (I'm so glad it was yesterday and not last week.) I will try to update how she does.

UPDATE: We got to school just in time to line up with her class. A girl from her 3 yr old preschool is in her class...so exciting. She didn't hesitate to say "bye" and go in. After school I had to drag her and Matt off the play equipment. She said she loved school and had to ride her bike to Grandmas as soon as she got home.

Rainy August Day

It poured this afternoon. Matt was sleeping on the couch, Tanner was doing homework and Ady was in timeout for the first part. So, I took Bennett out on the porch to enjoy the rain. He loved it! When Ady came out he was brave enough to go out in it.

I love this picture.
This was my 2nd favorite of the day. Ady went to give him a hug and Bennett would have nothing of it...so this is what happened when I snapped the picture. LOL

Ady doing itsy bitsy spider, when the rain came down.

Copying sister....
Running in the rain.
I love that you can see the rain coming down.

Another fun one.
Hmmm...what is this?!?!?!?
How will this work?!?!?!
This is Better!
This is GREAT!!!
OOOHHHH, even better!!!!
I could do this ALL DAY!!!!!
Hmmmm, thirsty anyone?!?!?! (no I didn't let him drink it.)

Let's just say the rain is LOADS of fun!!!!!
