We have had LOTS of rain lately. One thing I enjoy, yet don't. I do not like the mud in our undeveloped backyard. I do not care for the ever growing weeds. The other day Tanner asked to play golf in the backyard. The mud was gone and so I said yes. It didn't take long for Ady and Matthew to get their shoes on and follow. My Mom was here dropping of potatoes for a salad I needed to make. I was going to get started, but looked out and realized....my kids were gone! Hmmm! Our yard is only fenced on one side, so I was a bit nervous. My mom then commented that they were in the "weeds". So I took my camera out to see.

So these are our pretty weeds. I know eventually we will need to get rid of them. (every time my Dad comes over he reminds us it's a fire hazard. So one day when our yard is pretty and fun I will miss the mud and weeds, but we will enjoy it while we have it.

Let's wait until the tall grass and weeds start to die, then we will cut them down...
Toys come in all sizes and colors and textures...this is nature's toybox.
You kids played in the weeds and dirt for along time. The clean up as a parent is the hardest.
