MERRY CHRISTMAS 2007 (part one)

I'm not sure how many parts there will be, but this is part one. LOL

Last night, Christmas Eve, we had my parents, Poppie Mark, my brothers Al and John and John's friend Abi, over for dinner and games. We had lots of fun.

We got the kids to bed and around 7:30 I woke up thinking....why is it so quiet. My kids never sleep this late. So this was a GREAT Christmas present for Davis and I. So we got up showered and got ready for the day. By then they were up so we got them ready and headed down stairs.

We then sat the kids down with their stockings.
Matthew had a fit because he wanted to eat his cookies!!!
OH WELL, It's Christmas, what's wrong with cookies for breakfast.

Since Matthew had cookies, Ady had to have cookies.
We then read the Christmas story and talked about how the Wise Men gave Baby Jesus 3 presents. (We decided to have a new tradition and give our kids 3 presents for Christmas.) WE then asked Tanner what they brought Jesus and he said, "Frankensense, Myrrh and......what's the last one Mom." UH GOLD!?!?!?! The easiest one to remember...LOL. They proceeded to open Myrrh...Ady got a Dora jewelry box, Matthew a noisy cellphone and Tanner got tickets to see Alvin and the Chimpmunks at the theatre. Then came Frankensense....Matthew got a remote control car, Ady got a nesting doll (which she LOVES!) and Tanner got a new set of boxing gloves. GOLD...Matthew got a Diego rescue helicopter, Ady a shopping cart (Matthew's been crying all morning because he didn't get it) and Tanner got a Ben 10 vidweo game for the PSP.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!

Dec 14 Pizza Time

On December 14, we decided to have some fun with our little family. We first made pizzas. Tanner LOVED to make his own pizza and ate the whole thing. Ady really enjoyed it too and ate almost all of hers.

Matthew on the other hand...got made at me because I helped him roll out the dough. He then just wanted to eat the toppings and got furious when I put cheese on his pizza. I finally just gave him a bowl of cheese and finished his pizza, so I could get them in the oven. He loved the finaly product and proceeded to eat the whole thing.
Matthew saying CHEESE!!!!!!!!
The final products...okay not cooked yet!

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!

We then played Memory game as a family. This only lasted a few minutes and then we put Ady and Matthew in front of the tv to watch Dora. After that we watched The Grinch and ate popcorn....TO BED!!! (as Matthew says.) Matthew's new thing, as we walk up the stairs to put him to bed he'll punch the air with his fist and say "BED!!!" We will them proceed to tuck him in and soon later he will get out, lay by the door and kick it as he falls asleep. Then when Tanner needs to go to bed, I have to go upstairs, open the door a crack and say "Matthew, move please!" He usually wakes up enough to move so I can push the door open the rest of the way.

SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!

We got so much snow yesterday.....I didn't think it was ever going to stop. The kids begged to go outside, so once it stopped, we went to Walmart to get the babies boots and snowsuits. They had sooooo much fun playing. Matthew got done first, but I think Davis had to drag Tanner and Adylin back inside. Ady and Matthew did enjoy the warm bath afterwards. I think we'll try to get a cool sled and take them down a cool hill not far from our house.

Matthew realized if he threw snow at Mom, she'd scream....LOL he got a big kick out of it.

Tanner making a snow angel. He really enjoyed showing Ady how to make one. Ady made a really cute one too, but my camera batteries died. So when I got back from replacing them, she saw long gone. Oh well, next time.

Davis was making the snowman and I said, "That's a big snowball, Daddy!!!" Tanner was very scared.
Davis and Tanner made a snowman. It was hard to find anything to put on it...maybe I need to go to Roberts and make a special snowman kit!!!!

Kids Christmas Photos

I decided to put the kids in their Christmas outfits a few Sundays ago. I wanted a cute picture, but Tanner threw a fit because he didn't want to wear it. We finally got him to put it on and come down. As you can see from the pictures.....the kids were very uncooperative. So this year I've decided not to send out Christmas cards. I'm going to wait until we move and do something then, but don't expect pictures of my kids....they are impossible right now!!!!!!

On a side note, I picked Ady's "nasties" out of her hair....it turned out cute.

I wish everyone knew....

I was blog hoping a little while ago and happened upon the blog of a girl whose little boy Tate had just been born and passed. I reached out to her and she accepted the hand. She joined Share (the organization I get on to find support for the loss of Addison.) WELL, she just posted on her blog something very familiar on SHARE and it made me wish I would've had a blog like this to post on after Addison died. But I also feel it's never to late to inform those around me about how I feel. I know how difficult it is to understand the loss of a child when you have never experienced it. I learned this just days after Addison passed and I recalled two people that I knew that had early losses and I brushed them off, not thinking they were important at the time. So, my post on what I wish everyone knew....

I wish everyone knew that this hurt never goes away. We still need support, and I still need to hear Addison's name. Now, even more than before, I NEED to have her life validated.
I wish everyone knew ....that even though Addison’s death was the most painful experience of my life, I am grateful for the pain, and I would still choose to have her even knowing that it would end the same....and I would give anything to cuddle her in my arms again, if only for a brief moment.
I wish everyone knew... that my heart leaps with joy every time someone asks me about my Addison.
I wish everyone knew that a baby's age or size at birth or death does not determine how much of a person he/she was or how much she will be loved or missed.
I wish everyone knew that an early miscarriage and/or losing a tiny baby is just as difficult and painful as losing any other child.
I wish everyone knew how much I need to talk about Addison, and how happy it makes me when someone asks about her.
I wish everyone knew how important it is to me and my family to remember her birthday and join us in celebrating.
I wish everyone knew the struggle that I go through everyday to answer the simplest questions, like: How many children do you have?
I wish everyone knew it is ok to talk about my loss, that I think of Addison all the time, and that I have completely changed because of her.
I wish everyone knew how much I love and miss my little girl and how much I need to talk about her and remember her.
I wish everyone knew what it felt like to hold her, still, perfect, breathtaking and have to leave her.
I wish everyone knew what it felt like to long for just 1 more second with their baby. Maybe then they could truly cherish all the billions of seconds they get with theirs.
I wish everyone knew that us mommies who lose our babies carry them with us everywhere we go...for the rest of our lives...and to say we are changed...is putting it rather lightly.
I wish everyone knew that even though I can smile and go to work and "function" like everyone else, I'm not like everyone else.
I wish everyone knew that even if you don't know what to say to me, saying nothing at all is more painful than you can imagine. Ignoring me and never speaking to me again because it makes you uncomfortable to be around me is worse than being uncomfortable or saying the wrong thing.

I just needed to share this with all of you. I pray none of you have to go through the hurt we went through when we lost Addison, but maybe if you encounter someone with a loss, you can remember this is how it is for us and maybe give us a break once in awhile.

Veterans Day

Today for Veteran's Day, I had the day off and Davis stayed home with us. Tanner and I ran errands and then we all went to the Aquarium together.

Tanner loved driving the boat.
Tanner's favorite part was the sharks.
My three cute kids!!!
I LOVE this picture of Matthew!

Update Halloween Pictures!

I finally got the Halloween pictures from my Mom. We got some pretty cute ones. Ady and Matthew went with me to work...we only hit two halls in our work, but it was more than enough.

As we were wandering the halls, this guy that works for DCFS jumped out of a classroom and nearly mad my Mom pee her pants. Ady wasn't too thrilled either, but matthew thought he was pretty cool. Look how TALL he is.

My Stud!

After church on Sunday, we took Matthew's shirt off for dinner. I then saw him walking around with Davis' hat on and a football. I thought it was quite adorable.

CATCH MOM!!!!!!!!!
