The best part of the beach!

The best part of the beach....we were getting ready to go and I noticed something shiny in the seaweed. Davis was collecting stuff with Tanner and I walked over and drug it in.

It was a sand shark. :)

Tanner ran up to tell Poppie and Grandma that Mom caught a shark, but no one believed him until we showed them.

I love the look on Tanner's face.

Me being silly!!!

I got tired of holding it so I put it in the dirt to take a few more pictures.

Ady wanted to touch the shark.

OUR VACATION

We just got back from Southern California. It was fun and warm.
I only took pictures while we were at the beach. BUT, I should've taken pictures of the make shift beds :) We got to the hotel and they informed us they didn't have cribs or anthing for the babies. (I was mad because when I made the the reservations I was undert he impression they had some.) SO, the first night we just put Ady on the floor and Matthew in bed with us. It was a HORRIBLE night. Ady or Matthew would wake up every hour crying and the other would wake because the other was crying. We ended up with both babies in bed with us and VERY little sleep. To makwe matters worse, Davis hadn't slept in 2 days. The last time he slept was Tuesday night. Wednesday night he decided to stay up and work and since we were leaving at 3 am, he didn't get to sleep. SO, he drove the first stretch until he needed to sleep and then I drove. He only got about an hour of in the car sleep (UGH) and then was up. He was hoping to be able to sleep that night, but with the bed situation there was no sleep then either. The second day we were there, my Mom and I went to Wal-Mart and bought two baby gates. In the room, there was a small closet about 2 ft by 2 ft so we made a bed out of pillows and blankets and kept them in with the gate. We did this in our room and my parents room. Ady and Tanner slept with my parents and we had Matthew. The last two nights were MUCH better.

Well, the wedding went well and we had fun seeing Uncle Derek and Aunt Cindy. Our favorite part was the beach. Here are a few pictures.

Ady in the beginning. She didn't really like the texture of the sand and she HATED the water. Notice the second picture.

Davis had both kids in the water, letting them get their feet wet. Can you guess who didn't like it?

Mom and Matthew. Matthew LOVED the sand and the water.

Matthew with Poppie.

Davis and Matthew.

Tanner LOVED the beach. He dug in the sand. Played in the water. Ran from the waves. You know, all the fun beach things.

Too Cute! You can't tell, but Matthew is on the other arm

My brother Kirk was here for a few days. We were able to go up to Ogden for Alexis and Seth's school carnival. We had a lot of fun. The babies were surprisingly good. Adylin hung out with Poppie and ate hotdogs, cookies, watermelon and chips. She was happy to just hang out with her Poppie. Lexi was happy to tote Matthew around and show him off to her friends.

Tanner's favorite booth was the "human bubble".

Ady with her face painted.

Matthew, happy to be hanging out.

Tanner throwing a baseball.

Here's a cute picture of Kirk and Seth.

Matthew and Poppie.

A picture of Lex.

Here's Seth climbing the rope. I do have to say, he was the fast one there. He climbed it like a monkey.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Tanner was a cowboy! We was so excited. Poppie bought him his boots and Mom got the rest.

Ady was a ladybug.

Matthew was a frog. He wasn't too happy to be in his costume, so this was the only picture I got.

KIRIBATI REUNION

Conference weekend we had our first official reunion for Davis' mission. Elder Standley came in from Australia. He was on a 2 month holiday with a week stop in Utah. We had dinner in Provo on Friday night and then a get together at our new house on Saturday.

We had 7 couples, one single, a young lady from Kiribati (going to BYU) and 12 kids!!!! It was a ton of fun.

It was neat to meet all the kids and Standley's wife. Two of the kids are named Gilbertese names, North's adorable daughter Maudi (mauri-hello) and Kory's son Taai (Tie-sun)

Here are some of the kids.

The group (we're missing one family, they left before we took pictures.)

Tanner and Porter

Taai

THE BOYS!!!!

Standley, Rubalcaba, Kory, Strong, North, Vought, O'Bray
Went to the zoo with the Adams' family :) I'm late getting pictures up, but here they are. We had a lot of fun. Thanks to Shannon for coming and "helping".

(We were very busy moving in the weekend we
went, but it was nice to get away for a little while.)

Just a quick update with some pictures. We took Matthew to the cardiologist today. They had to sedate him because at his last appointment two weeks ago, he wiggled and fussed too much. After 3 1/2 hours he finally woke up, and then we got to meet with the cardiologist. He said everything looked great. The pressure in his heart looked good (they originally didn't) and he'll see us back in a year. The hole hasn't closed, so they still have to keep an eye on it. But all seems to be well. He's a happy, energetic 7 month old. He's crawling now and oh so cute!!! Here's a picture of him with his binkie. He loves to chew on it and play with it.

I found Adylin the other day by the window. At first I couldn't figure out what she was doing. Upon a closer look I noticed she was trying to catch a fly.

She also loves to help with the laundry and the other day I caught her putting Tanner's undies on her head. HAHAHA!!

September 6, 2006 was the second birthday of our sweet Addison. I can't believe two years have gone by, well unless you look at my GROWING family. The day didn't go as planned. NONE of the kids would nap so by the time Davis got home at 5, it was a mess and they were ready to eat dinner and go to bed. Well, mean mom took them to the cemetary. Surprisingly they did well there, but then, well, it doesn't matter how the rest of the night went One cool thing, Tanner is 5 now and he asked a lot of questions. It was fun to talk to him about her. I don't know if any of you have seen Brother Bear II, but in it they point to the heart and say, "Once you love someone, they're with you forever, Right here." After we went and let balloons go at the cemetary, Tanner got in the car and said, "I love Addison, MOM. And once you love someone they stay in your heart forever!" It was cute.

McKell got there before we did, so she had all ready cleaned off the headstone and placed flowers.

Here we are getting ready to send balloons to Addison for her birthday. We sang happy birthday and let them go.
