Off Track Fun

We have been off-track for a little over a week and we've had lots of fun. I don't have pictures of everything but I will try to write it down.

Monday-Aquarium, we went to the aquarium and I forgot my camera....oops! Kids had fun and we got season passes because I got them cheap with a groupon. (score) We are planning on going again tomorrow so hopefully some pictures will get taken.

Tuesday we were at the dentist most of the day....no fun~

Wednesday we went to the park with our friends. Not long into the park Bennett came running to me saying ow ow ow. I figured he was just being Benno and gave him a big hug and rubbed his back and head...all of a sudden I looked down and his hair was covered in blood. UM OWIE! I ran him to my neighbors and after doing a little clean up we realized he had a huge goose egg and a puncture wound on his head....no idea how it happened so we headed home and gave him a bath and chilled. FUN!?!?

Thursday- Ogden Dino Park....our passes expire in January so we want to go a few more times, so happy our cousins have a pass too!!! We had lunch, fed the ducks, played at the park, dug for fossils and then walked around. Awesome weather, awesome company, so great.

I love the face Bennett is pulling.

After we played at Mindy's. Bennett crashed before we hit the freeway to go home. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

I can't remember if we did anything else, it's all been a blurr.

This week we had doctors appointments and speech therapy (Bennett) and then Tuesday I sent Tanner and Ady to the Seelos' so I could make dinner.

Quick side note....I started a dinner group about a month ago. Basically I make dinner on Monday for my family and 3 other families...then each family brings dinner to us tues-thurs...can I just say how much I LOVE IT!!!! It has been great to not have to worry about dinner and the day I have to cook isn't too bad...generally. This Tuesday was an exception I switched days with Kaylene Seelos for personal reasons on her part and so she did my Monday and I got Tuesday but she was nice enough to watch my kids, Bennett and Warren had fallen asleep and Matt wanted to stay home and have quiet time (anybody that knows Matt....isn't surprised) so Tanner and Ady headed to Kaylene's and I started dinner. I had forgotten to text her to tell her the kids were coming so I did, she texted back they were there...a few mintues later she called me and very calmly said, "For starters Tanner is okay, but he just got hit by a car."

WHAT!?!?!?!

She told me to come over...so I hurry and called Davis to come home and put the sleepy kids back in the car (man Warren's naps have been soooo screwed up with the kids off track) I got there and he was sitting on her couch, pale and disoriented. So Kaylene said that he came over and didn't say anything to her, Ady came in hysterical and she couldn't get her to calm down enough to hear what had happened. The crossing lady came over and told her that they were getting ready to cross, they had pushed the buttons and waited for the go ahead. She was on the opposite side of the street crossing kids, Tanner started to cross and this lady left hand turned into him. She said it knocked him off his scooter and out of his shoes. The lady got out, gave him his shoe asked him if he was okay, he said yes, so she got back in her car and drove off. He then continued to Kaylene's house with Ady following (we aren't sure why exactly but Ady hesitated crossing....which is a first I am certain....so she saw the whole thing and was a mess.) Soon after I got there we called the police. He seemed fine, just disoriented. He couldn't remember what happened but said his hand hurt. In the end no one got the license but a fwe people said she picks her kids up from our elementary school and they see her all the time so they will get the license. It was interesting, the little caesar guy that dances around with the sign was there, he insisted to the police that it was a blue car with a make and model. Everyone else looked at him like he was crazy and said, no it was a red car. Davis got there to take him to the doctors and the police came asking if we knew of a little boy with down syndrome that they found wandering along the same street Tanner got hit. We made some phone calls and found out someone knew the child and we were able to get him to his mom. I then went home to make dinner....let's just say it was much later than expected but everyone was awesome about it. Tanner got a clear bill from the docs but he's sore and bruised today. All in all we were super blessed that he was fine. Today we are chillin' inside since it's cold and rainy......snow is predicted in the mountains tomorrow...ahhh!!!!
