Camping with the Williams Family

This last Friday/Saturday we went camping with Davis' cousin Mike, his wife Mindy and their two kids Kaitlyn and Joshua. We are so excited to have them back from Texas and the opportunity to go camping was a great one. We had a few mishaps though. We got unpacked and realized we'd forgotten the dutch ovens.....ugh. So Mindy and I packed the two little kids in the car and drovedown to her parents house to grab theirs. We loved the talk time and the babies slept....score! When we got back we played games and waited for Davis to get back from fishing. We waited and waited. Finally we decided to just start dinner....unfortunately the bread dough I needed for rolls was in the Suburban.....with Davis. We did what we could and waited some more. They finally showed up and dinner was delicious. Davis told me the mishap they had fishing and I am glad I wasn't there.
The fishing spot was down a little hill and Davis told Tanner to wait so he could go first. Tanner being the wonderful listener he is (not) didn't listen and went running down the hill. He couldn't stop and ended up in the lake...Davis looked down to see Tanner barely treading water, with his fishing pole in one hand and the tacklebox in the other. Davis quickly went in and pushed him out of the water...grabbed his shoe (Tanner's shoe had fallen off) and then realized he couldn't touch....and neither could Tanner. It was a very scary moment. Luckily my mom was still at the top with Ady and Matt so she decided to take them for a walk and not allow them down to the fishing spot.
We back at camp were pretty uneventful....thank goodness.

Mike dutch ovening it

These girls were so FUNNY! They are very similar, which makes me and Mindy smile and sigh. They loved the hammock Davis put up and spent many many moments here. Here they are playing "baby" and sleeping. Soon after this they wake up and cry for a bottle....water bottles suffice and they are content. Then they cry for something else. Mindy was VERY patient with this game....me not so much. They were kitties at one point and Kaitlyn was even a squirrel. I laughed pretty hard as she stood next to the tree and said, "Mommy squirrel, I can't climb...HELP ME!" Mindy just smiled.

Josh man was a trooper and I am sad for him he spent many moments in this pack n play...okay sad for me that Bennett could climb out this year. LOL

I love this picture of Ady....she looks so pretty....and tan.

Oh Boy....Mindy bought these awesome HUGE marshmellows and Ady, well she's a mess.

Many hours on this hammock. Matt had a staff, he was a fire bender from Last Airbender.

Mindy finally got a moment in the hammock.....kids and all.

Craziness!!!!

One of the highlights was Linda (Mike's little sister) was there. I've only met her 2 maybe 3 times. Her and Tanner got along FABULOUS. She was a great help with kids too.

Ahhhhh, love this picture.

Can you get any dirtier Bennett?!?!?!

I guess you can. These are Bennett's nasty feet from the first day. He had sandals on and I wasn't willing to switch them out.

I love this picture of Linda and Josh. She looks so much like her sister Becky here.

Our tent. Man, I am not looking forward to girls camp right now. I slept horribly. At least the weather was AWESOME. Not too hot, not too cold. It was an awesome camping adventure.
