We are in the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple district and have had many opportunities to see this lovely temple. Our ward has been assigned TONS of shifts to facilitate the open house. Every 15 days we have certain requirements to fill. The first time I got to go I was scheduled just outside the celestial room. It was an amazing experience, especially since the person from our stake scheduled to the celestial room is our Patriarch and also the person who helped design part of the temple. It was the last one he worked on before retirement and he was a wealth of knowledge. He's also a BIG TIME TALKER!!!! Those 4 hours were amazing. My second "ushering" shift was down in the baptistry...this too was an amazing experience. We fianlly took our family to tour it on July 8th (Tanner's birthday). The kids loved it and it was fun to show them where Mom and Dad have and wll be spending much of their time. The following day Davis and I had a 4 hour assignment in the sealing room where we had to give a 5 minute talk on the temple to people touring. It was a neat experience. We get to do this again on the 25th and I look forward to it. The other nice thing about this small temple being OUR temple, we have MANY opportunities to serve in it. We have assignments to do laundry, grounds maintenance, cleaning and other things. Basically the stakes do EVERYTHING for these temples. I know it'll take lots of time/service amd such, but it's neat to have this temple so close for us to use.

Our Family!!!!

Cute kids

Tanner...Happy 8th Birthday!!!!

Tanner took this picture. Om our way to the open house Tanner informs us that Angel Moroni got hit by lightning. Davis and I didn't believe him but as we got closer we got a good look at it. The next day at our training we were talking to a guy over the temple stuff and he said there is a lightning rod going down the head and the ligthning hit the trump so they will put another rod in the trump and replate the whole thing. Tanner thought this was one of the coolest things he'd ever seen. Also if you ask Ady her favorite part of the temple she will say, "That cookie was so yummy!!!!" Ah gotta love kids!
