It's an amazing toy, that I really had no idea how to use. LOL Okay, I just didn't know how to use the convect part of it. So, on Sunday I experimented and cooked out lasagna. It was wonderful and cooked 30 minutes faster, which my family enjoyed!!!! I then scoured the internet for recipes and tips. Then on Tuesday I stopped at Sams and found two whole chickens I just had to pick up! I have never in my life cooked a whole chicken and up to this point really had no desire.
Yes, I know it's not facing the right way....my Mom informed me of that when she came over. OH WELL!!! I did brine it (thanks to the internet) and popped it into the oven. I was very frustrated when I couldn't get the temperature to set right (it was stuck at 325 and I couldn't figure out why.) SO I cooked the chicken at 325...we waited, waited and waited! I finally asked Davis where the instructions were and realized I set it up wrong! UGH! So when I fixed it we had a pretty chicken that was quite tasty! This picture is of the not quite finished version, but when I got it done it was time for me to go to a meeting...oh well!
So, today I deboned the chicken (something I dislike very much!) Ady is constantly saying, "Mom, I hate chicken!" I always tell her that's okay, she doesn't need to eat it. Well, while I was deboning the chicken she asked if she could taste. hmmm, okay! Well, the next 30 minutes consisted of Matthew and Ady standing next to me saying,"More chicken please!" So I was basically dropping the chicken on a plate and them swiping it up faster than I could tear it off! So that means it's a hit!My next "try" is cupcakes for Ady's birthday and cookies! WAHOO!!!
