Fun For Me!!!!!

Davis' cousin Mindy put this on her blog and I want to see what she'll send. She is so dang cute and creative. So here goes....I know I haven't updated in a long time so we'll see if anyone is checking my blog anymore. LOL

Lucky you! The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. {might be a little while}
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or maybe even some creation I haven't even invented yet (but Heaven knows it will most likely be totally fabulous and creative... :). I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!

* * *Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!* * *

Questions about Davis

I've seen this a few times, so here goes. I will try to get Davis to do it later.

Here's a chance to see how well you really know your spouse. The real challenge is to send it to your husband to see how right you really are. Then have him fill it out about you and do the same!
1. He's sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen? Lots of stuff, he loves tv, but if the kids are asleep it's Call of Duty for PS3
2. You're out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad? Ranch
3. What's one food he doesn't like? --->broccoli
4. You go out to eat and have a drink. What does he order? --->Depends on what they carry...he prefers Mnt. Dew but will settle for a rootbeer as long as it's tap not an expensive non refillable bottle.
5. Where did he go to high school?--->K-Town
7. If he was to collect anything, what would it be?--->fast cars
8. What is his favorite type of sandwich?--->Any kind, he likes ham and turkey with lots of cheese
9. What would this person eat every day if he could?--->salsa with chips or nachos
10. What is his favorite cereal?--->Golden Grahams
11. What would he never wear? --->Davis doesn't care about what he wears.
12. What is his favorite sports team? --->BYU for football; Jazz for b-ball
13. Who did he vote for? --->McCain, but he hated both candidates
14. Who is his best friend? --->If it's who he talks to the most or emails, it would be Sam, but I don't think he would say he has a best friend.
15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn't do? --->He loves all my quirks, but I know what he wishes I would do more...LOL
16. What is his heritage?--->dumb question so I will pass
17. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what kind of cake?--->cheesecake with strawberries and cream.
18. Did he play sports in high school? --->Football and intermural basketball
19. What could he spend hours doing? --->playing PS3
20. What is one unique talent he has? --->He's nice to all, I've only heard him speak bad about one person.

Sleepy time

A few weeks ago I sent the older two kids to church and kept the younger two. I got Bennett to sleep and Matthew and I were watching tv. I let Matthew snuggle by Bennett and before long I found them like this. It sure was fun just having the two. It was quiet and they get a long so well. Matthew can't wait for Bennett to be able to play.

Snow Pictures

These are a few weeks late. I did want to wait until it was warmer to take them out in the snow. They had fun and didn't even hit half the yard with foot prints....lol
HAHAHA I laughed when he kept losing his shoe, since the snow was still pretty deep. Gotta love his sisters glove.

MMMMM, hot chocolate

2 months old

Bennett was 2 months old on January 14. Since we don't have insurance, I couldn't take him for his checkup but decided to measure him and weigh him at home. So the weight isn't exact, but oh well. He's 23 inches and right about 13 pounds. I can't believe how big he is getting. He's growing out of all the stuff I have. I love this picture my Mom took. He's starting to smile, but mostly for Grandma and Daddy. I'm still a cow to him....LOL!

Mommy in Training

FINISHED PROJECTED!!!!!

So the other day Ady decided she was going to change Bennett. WOW! Let's just say she enjoyed herself AND he didn't pee on her (darn it!) It was funny, while she was trying to undress him and get the diaper on he kept kicking his legs (he's not a doll you know!) She kept saying, "Bennnnett.....Bennett, stop kicking" or "Bennett be still." She finally turned to me with a sigh, "MOM, can you tell Bennett to be still and not kick....this is really hard!" I laughed so hard. She did too!!!

Not too bad!!!

More Craziness

Sunday night my parents came over for dinner. We had yummy calzones, but as my Mom was cleaning up our sink just fell. Yes, it came undone from the granite and dropped into our cabinet. Thus all the stuff under the cabinet was removed and put in baskets to be placed on the island for a while.
So I called the builders and we can't get someone out to fix it until Thursday...YAY!!!!! Well, Monday morning I went downstairs and noticed my freezer was open....blasted kids!!!!! I then went upstairs and found Matthew like this. At least you are cute!!! Grrrr!!!! I do love the yellow kitchen glove. It was under the sink in the cabinet-now it's in the garage so they can't get into anymore stuff.

My Mom has been helping out a lot lately. The other day she had Ady, Matthew and Bennett all on the recliner with her. It was cute.
The last thing for the moment. Bennett is a month old. I took him to the doctors today (my dr likes to check them a lot in the first 2 months.) He weighs 8 lbs 13 ozs...yes that is a gain of 2 lbs. 3 ozs. in 2 weeks and 22 inches a gain of an inch and a half in those two short weeks. I am not surprised since I had to put all of his newborn stuff away. He's in 0-3 month stuff right now.

Randomness

Ady has been having fun at preschool.

I promise I think about updating nearly everyday, I just don't get around to it. *sigh* Well, we've been busy as always. Ady had a follow up appointment for her tonsils on Tuesday. I left the baby thinking it would be quick....oh no, nearly 3 hours later we were heading home....it was INSANE! We also came home in the midst of traffic, so the normal 25 min drive took an hour. Poor Bennett was STARVING!!!! Well, they had to do a hearing test to make sure her tubes were open and didn't cause damage. She passed with flying colors but was a bit stubborn with the tests.
Here she is showing off her favorite ornament. What's up with that smile!?!?!

I have also wanted to post pictures of the boys. I found a picture of Tanner and it looks so much like Bennett. I showed it to Tanner and he said, "AH cute, Baby Bennett." I will try to get it scanned soon. I also have pictures of Matthew, they all look so much a like.

The kids have been bugging me to set up Christmas, we finally got stuff out of the garage and in the house. They have loved playing with the nativity set. They also helped me put up our advent calendar and put candy in it for each day. Unfortunately, about 20 minutes later, the bottom weeks candy was "cleaned out" by Ady and Matthew. *sigh* I refuse to refill, especially since there are many times throughout the day that I notice chocolate on the mouths of the little ones. There is at least one row they can't reach so I have stuff in there for Tanner, since he is being good and leaving it alone.

I also found Ady and Matthew getting into my ornaments. I have a big collection of Disney ornaments and they think they are toys, unfortunately they aren't toys and despite the lectures not to play with them...well one got broke today. Alladin was beheaded!I've also been busy making digital calendars for the Mom's for Christmas. I had a deadline to make and finally got them done. My next deadline is for some digital scrapbooks I have credits for. They expire in 7 days so I have been spending most of my free time workng on them.

I was watching Oprah and they were talking about inexpensive gifts this Christmas. One of the suggestions was "12 dates of Christmas", I told Davis about it and we thought it was a pretty good idea. My week tp plan was last week and we figured we needed about 3 dates a week to make it work. Well, Davis had mutual and Bishopric meeting Tuesday. Wednesday we watched shows together after the kids went to bed. (date 1...yes I counted it!) Thursday was basketball. Saturday morning Ward Party and tithing settlement. So we went to the movies Saturday night (he planned it, so date 2) UGH! We watched Twilight and quite honestly I didn't LOVE it. It did make me want to read the books again. There were parts of it I enjoyed, but all in all it wasn't my favorite movie. Enough said!!!!!! So maybe next week will be better....I doubt it though since he has tithing settlement again and it looks like it might take up more time then he expected (inward groan.)
Last but not least....Bennett. He is getting so big and so fun. I got this cute shirt for him. I've had to do more shopping than I realized with him. He's totally off season of the other boys and it's COLD!!!! I am happy to say he "played" quietly on this blanket for about 30 minutes yesterday...yay for Mom!!!! I also need to mention that one night last week he slept for a whole 6 hours!!! I was in heaven...okay, not really, but it was nice. Lately he gets up every 1-2 hours to eat. It's a nice night when he goes for 3 hours. He loves to eat!!!
I also wanted to show this cute blanket my Mom made...Thanks Mom!!!! I have some really cute blankets my mother in law made, but "mister spit up" keeps getting them dirty. When they get out of the wash (again) I will take pictures and post them....she too is amazing.

Busy Week

I love this picture of Matt! He got into the pantry the other day and "helped" himself to sweets.

On Wednesday I had to take Bennett to the doctors for his 2 week check up, so my Mom took the kids to McDonalds for me and off I went. He's doing great weighing in at 6 lbs. 10 ozs. YAY for Bennett. After I was done I took Ady to play at her friends house...Thanks Katie and Hailey!! They had lots of fun and then walked Ady home. The kids played for a little while and Katie and I got to chit chat....fun!!! Ady was very happy to show off her baby to Hailey and Hailey was happy to hold Bennett. It was good times, Hailey didn't want to leave. LOL

On Thursday we went to my cousins church for games and Thanksgiving "lunch". The kids had such a good time playing broomstick hockey and balloon stomp. I forgot my camera, so I borrowed a few from my Mom.
After that we headed to Davis Grandparents house (no camera) where we ate again :) good times! Played pool with the cousins and the little cousins got to play. It was great to see Karlie's kiddos, I'm just bummed I didn't get any pictures.

Tanner slept at the Strong's Thursday night so he could go Christmas tree cutting with them. Friday I went shopping with my Mom in the morning. Then a wonderful person in our ward took Ady and Matthew for a little while, so Davis and I went shopping and then we ended up at the Sweet's for pumpkin smashing....LOL you'll have to check their blog for pictures. And a BIG thanks to the Sweet's for letting Bennett borrow the swing.

Saturday we headed up to Heber to help Davis uncle put walls up on his garage. The kids had a great time playing with everything they could find.
Keana showed off her snake and the kids LOVED it. Even Ady touched it...I am so proud!!!!

We left Davis up in Heber, since it was taking them so long to get things done and we were supposed to be at my Mom's around 2. So I took the kids and headed to my Mom's for yet another Thanksgiving dinner. The kids played games.

Got prizes from Grandma...this is Lexi, she wouldn't put Bennett down all night.

Lexi's goofy teeth on Bennett. The girls got tiaras.
The boys got footballs.
Cousins and friends...for the moment.
Buds!!! Seth and Tanner
Seth came and played at slept over. It was a great end to a great day. Sunday was church and the Strong's Thanksgiving dinner. I will post those pictures later.

Better late....than never...right?!?!!?

As I mentioned before my camera has been a bit wacky, thus I haven't been using it much. My Mom has been using hers a lot so she's taken a lot of pictures for me. I finally got her sd card and took pictures off it. drum roll please...... TA DA.... HALLOWEEN!!! Ady was an elephant, Matthew a monkey and Tanner a Power Ranger. On Thursday I took the two little ones to work with me and we had a big potluck (since it was the last day for 2 of our people.) The kids had a ball and FILLED their buckets from only going to 2 out of 4 floors in my building. It was insane, but fun. Here they are at the water fountain.

I then on Friday took them to my Mom's to trick-or-treat. They loved it and we had to go to a few neighbors houses so Grandma could show off her cute grandkids!!!!

My Monkey-Man!!!!
Ahhhh, a power ranger...AGAIN!!!!

Cute little elephant!
After Grandmas we headed back home to clean up since we were having from friends over. Russ and Amy brought their 3 cute kids (sorry I have no pictures) and Joe and Anna came over to hang out. It was so much fun. We had a very yummy stew in a pumpkin (the kids ate mac n cheese) and then we were off to trick or treat. We headed to the Sweet's house where the girls hung out and chatted while the guys took the kids "candy begging." It was a wonderfully warm night, the best Halloween I can remember. After a little while, Davis returned with Matthew...not long after that Ady and Parker came home. They all played really well and watched Monsters Inc....since not long after that Whitney and Olivia were done. The older kids went a bit longer. It was a fantastic night and great company. I'm hoping next year is as nice and warm.
